WriteLight is a boutique publisher specialising in books about photography and photographers. We are the publishers of the Contemporary Photographers: Australia series – a series of monographs of Australian photographers who have made a significant contribution to photography in Australia. There are currently six titles in the series and more are in production. These high quality books are available to buy on this site.
WriteLight is also a book packager and has all the necessary expertise to package your book project – on photography or otherwise....all you have to do is provide the concept, the images and – always the hard part – the finances. However, we will look after every aspect of producing your book from design to delivery, taking you through the publishing/printing process as painlessly as possible. We have the resources and 25 years of experience in book and magazine publishing to provide photography, editorial and production services to help self-publishers achieve their dreams.
The WriteLight Team:
Paul Burrows is a photographer and journalist with many years of editorial experience. He is the editor of Camera and Pro Photo magazines and has written about photography for 25 years. His knowledge of writing and photography covers a broad range of topics such as travel, classical music, photography, motoring and cats. He has been published in many magazines as well as a book Cats of Sydney. He is currently writing the documentary script for Classical Destinations series two for SBS TV with actor Simon Callow.
Victoria Jefferys has been involved in magazine and book publishing for 23 years, working for large Australian publishing companies in the production of magazines, illustrated books, children’s books and mass market novels. She also worked for the prolific Australian photographer – Ken Duncan – setting up his publishing empire and producing his books for five years. Her expertise lies in knowing everything you need to know about producing a book…format, paper, scanning, proofing, printing…and uses the best and most appropriate designers, printers, scanners to create the book you want.For all your book enquiries – please contact us at info@writelight.com.au
